Assistant Jail Administrator James Gordon
Assistant Jail Administrator Gordon started with the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office as a Corrections Officer on March 20, 1989. He was promoted to a Technical Corrections Officer on July 24, 1994. He was then promoted to the rank of Sergeant on December 8, 1997 where he was in charge of shift operations and then booking. He was promoted to Lieutenant on October 26, 2014 and then to Assistant Jail Administrator on Jan 19, 2020. Assistant Jail Administrator Gordon is a graduate of the Police Executive & Administrative Leadership School (PEALS), John Reid & Associates for interviewing techniques and certified in Voice Stress Test Analyst (CVSA). Assistant Jail Administrator Gordon is presently in charge of LCSO Jail Operations.
